More Paris Pictures Days 1 and 2

Descending to the Deportation Memorial

Dionne is EXTRA happy that she gets to go to world-famous Berthillon for some ice cream!

Lots of choices

The guy in white entertained our kids.  At my expense.  I'll grab one of the pictures they took of it and put it up here.

This guy was arrested soon after this picture was taken.  Seriously.

A gift from Egypt - the 3300 year old Luxor Obelisk

People from Asia (who have a lot of money) fly to Paris to have their wedding photos done.  The boys join the wedding party.

The spot where Marie Antoinette lost her head on the Place de La Concorde

Our new bus

The kids of Europe 2012
From the Arc de Triomphe.  We will be up where the search light beam originates tomorrow night!

Caleb, breaking all the rules

On the way up to the top of the Arc de Triomphe

Bottom of the Arc

A nice view from the balcony of the Opera Garnier

This little guy and his friends surrounded me and practiced their English when they found out I was a professeur Canadien.  I couldn't pronounce his name properly - he made me try over and over.  Armand  I believe.

A lot of hype for this one painting!

Our tour guide took us to the Flemish Primitives section of the Louvre (an area I'd never been to) - this is St. Magdalena.

Artists can create copies of works in the Louvre (as long as they are either smaller or larger than the original).
On the steps of Sacre Couer

My wife wants a new chandelier for our dining room.  This one would be sitting on the floor.

The sword of the French Kings - for a thousand years.  One of the few remnants of French royalty that was not destroyed in the Revolution.

Keeping it clean for the tourists.

They were doing a fashion shoot in the middle of the street near Place de la Concorde.
